EDUCATION is not preparation for life;
EDUCATION is life itself

About Us

Our Classrooms and Curriculum

Stepping Stones Learning Center is an inclusionary program utilizing the Montessori approach to teach students with special needs, alternative learning needs such as dyslexia, ADHD and learning disabilities, and neuro-typical learners in an inclusive, co-taught classroom. Our class is co-taught with a licensed special educator and licensed, certified Montessori general educator. The Montessori curriculum is differentiated to meet the individual needs of each of our students while additionally aligned with the Arizona state standards.

Our More Intensive Classroom

In the 2024-2025 school year, we will add a classroom that provides more structure and intensive support to students with autism. This environment will incorporate materials and curriculum from the our inclusive classroom to provide a smaller, more structured environment for students. The goal is to prepare students for the inclusionary environment by teaching skills needed to be successful in the classroom.

Our more intensive classroom will utilize principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, Visual supports and structures, and TEACCH learning models.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to provide an individualized education that empowers students' strengths and develops critical skills for success in an environment of mixed skills and abilities. Education must include understanding and working with peers of varying skills and learning to utilize these skills for the common goal of all students' ultimate expression of their greatest abilities.

Our vision is to GUIDE students to discover, value, and become empowered by their individual strengths and demonstrate the ability to show these strengths in ways that are productive and fulfilling.

Our daughter absolutely loves this school. Ms. Anna takes time to study each student and is attentive at planning a curriculum to the individual success of each student. Field trips, special events, and projects, planned out, broken down and executed to make learning fun and exciting. Our daughter is thriving.
